10' Bolt-together Utility Trailer Plans (Optional Steel or Aluminum). The gross capacity of the trailer is 3500 lbs. The empty weight of the trailer is 508 lbs if made of aluminum. This bolt together trailer has an effective bed length of 10' and width of 5'. It can be constructed of either aluminum or steel. If aluminum is chosen than stainless steel bolts are used, if steel is the material than SAE grade 5 bolts are used. The frame and side rails are made of angle, with 3" square tubing for the tongue. The floor is diamond plate, but wood can be used. Tailgate is diamond plate with chain locks and supports. Fourteen or 15" wheels and tires with a torsion axle make up the suspension. Five big sheets and Twelve steps to simplify the construction of this No-Welding-Required trailer.
